ICF Foundation
Close ExpandInsulated Concrete Forms (ICF) offer a unique fusion of expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation and reinforced concrete durability, rendering them an ideal choice for the foundation of the Homestead. With ICF construction boasting impressive R-values ranging from 24 to 28, the Homestead stands as a testament to both durability and energy efficiency.
The ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) foundation was poured in December of 2019. Roof framing started in February of 2020. Interior framing and HVAC rough-ins occurred in March. Exterior finishing and plumbing rough-ins began at the end of March while roofing was completed over the month of April.
Electrical rough-ins, masonry and basement drywall was completed in June. In July, drywall on the main and upper floor was completed and millworks began. Millworks continued into August and painting begun throughout the home.
The elevator was installed in September and bathroom tiling began. Cabinetry and flooring took place from October to December. In January 2021, countertops were installed and remaining millworks were finished. The client took possession on March 1st, 2021.
